What is a product?

Represents a sellable item or service. Products can be attached to deals for revenue tracking.

Key fields

  • Name, optional SKU, type (product or service), and description.
  • Price, optional cost, currency, unit, tax rate, and an active toggle.
  • Can be linked to multiple deals for revenue tracking.

Creating and updating

  • Products -> New Product to add items. Mark inactive to hide from selectors without losing history.
  • Use CSV import (name, SKU, price, currency, unit) to add many at once.
  • Edit pricing or activation state anytime; updates flow through to new deals.

Good practices

  • Use consistent currency codes and units to keep reports clean.
  • Keep SKUs unique so billing or ERP tools reconcile easily.
  • Set inactive instead of deleting to preserve deal history.

Common workflows

  • Attach products to deals for ARR/GM calculations.
  • Import catalogs from billing systems, then update price or tax in one place.
  • Segment deals by product type for pipeline analytics.
